do you need to highlight brow?

I am trying to figure this out, does it lead to a more polished look? Does anyone have a site that shows how to apply three shadows?
Any help is appreciated, thanks

sometimes just a light sweep of a shimmery gold or beige shadow on ur browbone is all u need, it brightens ur eyes and makes ur brows look more defined

it def polishes ur overall look

I definitely think it's a must. Not only does it give you a more polished look, but with a highlighter you can blend away any harsh lines. Just browse around this site...almost everyone uses a highlighter.

Im my personal opinion, you do need to highlight the brow, but a nice subtle wash of a shimmer whitish gold or pink shadow will do the trick. I love wild eyeshadow looks, but I personally HATE it when waaaaaay too much highlighter (especially with really chunky shimmer or glitter) is used under the brow bone. Keep it simple, don't make you're arch look like a disco ball. MAC's dazzelray e/s is so beautiful under your arch. use it with a 217 brush to easily blend it into your eyeshadow. Also, the term highlighting means to draw attention to, so make sure your brows are well groomed if you are drawing attention to them! Brows make or break your face! HTH

I agree, highlighter adds to the overall polish of your look. I think a matte colour "cleans up" the brow bone area, and a shimmer colour adds some dimension - I also like to use just a little on the top middle of my eye lid (over whatever colour I already have on my lid). Loving Shroom and Ricepaper (which look nearly the same on me) right now, a gorgeous sheen rather than shimmer as such.

I have not been doing it for the last couple months and did it one day last week and it looked so much better. Looked more finished, if that makes sense.

I agree with everyone else, highlighting the brow area is really important because 1) it softens up the harsh lines and 2) Frames your eyes.

hope this helps

I agree with all the ladies.

It can either be shimmery or matte, but it really does open up the eye and give it life. I can be feeling like ass, but when I have my brows highlight, it just erases the look of tiredness. LOL

I like to use Stila's Kitten for a shimmery look and MAC Vanilla for a matte look.

wow i'm totally in the minority here. i used to highlight my brow ALL the time but i stopped because i didn't want to always look like i had makeup on up to my brows. then, i was shown concealer under the brow, which lightens up the highlight area, but with a skin like texture. so i've been doing that ever since. only on special occassions do i highlight the brow. even then, the brush you apply it with makes the difference between the subtle highlight and streaking makeup to the brow...#217 all the way baby! i love it! the fluffy brush gives just the right amount of highlight!

I don't think you absolutely need to highlight it with a frosty or shimmery e/s, but simply using an eyeshadow from the crease upward (it can match your skintone and be a matte shade) will help you blend out the lid eyeshadow so much better. I like Shroom for a more subtle shade, it makes you look like you're not wearing a noticeable highlighter colour, but it helps to blend the shadows.
