Does anyone think I could make it in the music biz for songwriting

I Don't know if this is in the right section, but I'm not really promoting anything so this seemed fitting. Along with doing hair and makeup, I've always wanted into the music business. So I was wondering if this was any good. I'm not planning on selling this but some criticism would be helpful.
I have always loved old hollywood with all it's glamor but I've always felt like there was a tramatic story behind every girl who painted herself up and stepped out onto a stage and that's what this song is about. A girl who hides behind the lights and glamour.

All That Glitters

Excerpt:

(Verse 2)
You are brought to the top and always let down
Living up the high life covered in pearls and perfume
Until one day you're swept up like dust to a broom
Then just like every other blond bombshell in the room
You're downing bottles of gin and working late
And you have no one to hate, but you

(Bridge)
Were going back to Hollywood's start
The days where stars lived there life to look and play the part
When things looked simple from the outside in
But the world knew all too well the price of there precious art

I would suggest...If you are trying to get in the business...Do not post uncopyrighted lyrics....They may be yours today...But someone elses tomorrow....

My husband produces beats and he guards his music sheets and tracks like they were his children...Just My Opinion...

with that being said....I really like the lyrics !!!

I like! I also like your ideas behind it. Not the same ol' same ol'. Do you know how to read/write sheet music and/or play piano? That can be a HUGE help in the songwriting industry. Or so I was told when I took AP Music Theory in high school, but I never wanted to be a song writer, I just liked music theory. :B

Unfortunately, I don't know how to play piano or write sheet music. I can slightly read it. I wouldn't know how to go about copywriting lyrics.

This site has some helpful info on copyrighting. I definitly wouldnt post your lyrics like that though. maybe a verse or so but not the whole song. My husband works with artists daily. They never send full tracks to anyone EVER. Unless the song has been processed.

Song Copyright and Music Copyright
