Hi, I've just read Laura Mercier's book and she recommends using Translucent powder a lot. Just wondering if any of you use it or have used it & your opinions???

Will it work on me (my color stats are in my signature =D)??CAn you recommend me one to try & has anyone used the Mac Pro Translucent powder??

Thanks guys!!

I've used Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder in #12, which is their translucent shade. It totally disappears on me, and it waterproofs most makeup. I've used Laura Mercier translucent powder before, but I feel like it leaves me a little gray.

I second Make up for ever super loose matte powder in #12. It feels like you are brushing silk onto your face and it doesn't add any noticable colour. I even carry a small container in my purse for touch-ups during the day.

I used to wear translucent powder all the time!

I use Coty's translucent powder...I really love it. It's a drugstore brand but it works. If you do decide to get it, though, get the unscented kind (green box).

I don't know how I could do makeup without it haha! I love Bare Minerals Mineral Veil - it's so soft and it feels great on my skin!

just wanted to add my two cents. i have super oily skin and major shine issues and so am obsessed with translucent powders. i've been using both laura mercier for a while and am generally happy with the results. it really sets the make up and controls shine all day BUT it is not truly translucent. i find that it makes your finished look noticeably paler. i've tried mineral veil as well, but the shine control was not as enduring.

after reading the other reviews i ran out and bought both make up forever and shu uemura. the ultimate consensus...

make up forever. ammmazing shine and oil control. doesn't get cakey looking if you reapply. and is truly translucent.

Thank you hunnies =)

Does anyone know if I should actually use translucent powder because my skin is really dry!! Will it make my skin look dryer?
