Doing Makeup for older women...

Hi guys!

Well I have "so thoughtfully" been asked by some women in my office if I could do their holiday makeup.

Now let me tell you- I am ALLLL about the glitz and glam and "BIG" makeup. I always wear color, etc etc. and they all just rave about my makeup...so they want me to do it.

Heres the problem - I have an issue with trying to put the stuff that I LOVE on other people...when it doesnt necessairly look like it does on me on them - (i.e. note to self - do not put fuschia pigment on 45+ aged women) haha!

So does anyone have any idea's, tips, etc etc thngs I should stay away from for older women, etc so I dont send them to this holiday parrty looking like they are dressed in drag???

Also, what are some good shadow colors to go with? I don't even know where to begin.... TIA

Well I think that you will be better off if you go with something very subtle like matte textures. Try to stay with neutrals, but give a lot of contrast with those matte neutral colors. Maybe do a pop of color or sparkle if someone really wants it.

Being over the age of 30 doesn't mean that you're banished to the land of matte brown eyeshadow.

If they love big wild colour then ask them if they want to try it. If they don't want to go all the way, then that's what bright eyeliner is made for.

A lot of older women's eyes like mine have lot of wrinkles and loose skin on the lid or sagging eyelids. Matte eyeshadow seem to not show up those problems like the frost or sparkley shadows do. I still like to wear lots of colored shadows, but I can't wear anything too frosty.
