I hated both! Well, dream matte was just not for me. I don't like that much coverage and I don't like the matte, powdery look. Plus I couldn't find a good shade match, AND it gave me one of the worst breakouts of my life!
Pure makeup...I wanted to love it so much. It was cheap, I love the fact that it was water based, and good for the skin. Similar prob with finding a shade to match..but it was just horrible for me. The water dehydrated too fast I think so it made it almost impossible to blend, it really dried out my skin and gave me a flaky look.

i liked dream matte, which really surprised me. i'm pretty devoted to my mac foundations, but one of my friends from the LJ mac community recommended dream matte to me, and it was on sale at sav-on, so i decieded to try it. i miraculously matched my correct shade, which is half the battle with drugstore foundations, and i was pretty impressed with the coverage and lasting power. my only complaint is that the consistency made it difficult to apply correctly, with either a brush, wedge, or my fingers. still, worth getting again, i guess, for those days where it doesn't matter if my foundation is perfect. also, much cheaper than going through a mac foundation or two every couple months, which is what i do, since i rotate between SFF, regular SF, and moistureblend and studiotech.

i think the dream matte mousse is pretty good especially for light coverage

I just bought dream matte & I'm worried that it will cause a bad break out for me as well ... what kind of skin do you have?

Don't like DMM - it melts right off my oily skin. Pure isn't bad, I like the finish and coverage, I just don't like the fact that I am terribly shiny within an hour or 2 when using it.
