what do u think is 'acceptable' in terms of well not being nasty but just u being yeh i pay u to be here so dont be like that
smiles.gif

edit: hah me neither wrote it half asleep
graucho.gif

meant to mean like u have a driving instructor and u do something wrong however your a learner and your learning and their just overly rude/nasty about the mistake, how far is too far like my driving instructor hmm how should i put this- i cant stand her
icon_eek.gif
ill do something wrong like goin a smidge too fast slow down too quick nd she'll be like over exasperated rude sighing and then other times ill go too fast round a corner and she'll make me stop and tell me off for smiling at her stuff like that. just how far is too far
smiles.gif

oh and also im asking cos ive never done driving before but it just seems like yeah im paying you £15 ($27ish) a hour so be nice to me :p

What you've explained I think she's rude and a beyotch! A driving instructor should be fairly nice in my opinion... stern, but understand that you're learning. Who wants an emotional driver behind the wheel? My feelings get hurt too easily... and that could be a disaster..

I would smile sweetly and explain to her that her stern demeanor is making you nervous, therefore causing you to make more mistakes than you would if you had a kindly and relaxed instructor...in other words, PLEASE LIGHTEN UP A BIT.

But be sweet...you don't want her to run to your folks and get their knickers in knots!

Also, remember, all these trials of being a teenager will be over so quickly...and one day you'll look back on them and laugh. In the meantime, keep a journal or something...it will not only help you to de-stress about the things going on here and now, it will help you to look back on them later to see how far you've come.

well the other day she could see a was in a blantant mood after the lesson and she finished by sayin sorry if u think ive been a bit firm with you but its only so you'll learn however ive talked to my friend about it and she says if im not enjoying it then a should switch.

also should add that around $30 is what they cost around where i live so price is no problem, i was just expecting the instructor to be really patient and not tell me that i would lose my license or could kill someone

my driving teacher charged me $58 for 45 mins so at least your getting a deal as far as prices go, but the guy I had he never yelled and I was a bad driver at first. He pretty much just sat back and let me do what I wanted. That's probably why I failed my first road test, but I didn't even practice more for my 2nd and passed then.

I remember having a driving instructor who would FLIP OUT anytime he thought I was going "too fast." I was always going at or below the speed limit, but he'd be like "OH MY GOD YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST YOU'RE GOING TO HIT SOMEONE OR GET US KILLED PLEASE SLOW DOWN!" So I pulled over, told him to grow a pair, and resumed driving. He kept using that passenger-side brake they've got, and I said "you know, this really isn't helping me learn anything other than the fact that you're A SCHIZO."

We fought the entire lesson (I guess it's good that I can drive safely and have an argument at the same time?), and afterwards I demanded my money back because not only did he not teach me anything, but he put me through three hours of stress just because he's paranoid.

So uh I guess my point is that you should stop using her as an instructor, and ask if you can get your money back because instead of teaching you anything of value, she just yelled at you and acted rude toward you.

icon_eek.gif

i had a driving lesson tonite however before i was so annoyed cos of skool i cried before goin out and then cried even more cos i had to go driving and obv hate it so much, so i went anyway and ooo i hate her
angry.gif
i cudnt concentrate and cudnt reverse round a corner (however was 3rd time in whole life ive done it) and she just started sighing and going no no ur nt goin to do it, then she made me drive round and i was so angry i was gripping the steering wheel, she then took me somewhere else to reverse and i did but then she started going on about how i cudnt change gears at the right time and i started crying right there and obv was really upset and she made me carry on what a idiot who wants a over emotional person at the wheel, i kept stalling and cudnt do hardly anything and she never said anything encouraging like hello? someones crying u make a kinda fuss of them.
