I love Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse. It has really good coverage & feels really silky on your skin. I use Mac's foundation too, but honestly I like this just as much...if not more

Just a quick warning, if you have problems with your pores, dream matte mousse will settle there and make them look even worse.

Yeah, the Dream Matte Mousse looks very, very odd on me after a while. It looks so nice at first, and after about an hour it settles into the pores on my cheekbones and makes them look HUGE. Not so pretty. But yeah, the L'Oreal True Match stuff is pretty good, and I really like how once you find your shade, it's extremely easy to find the matching powder, blush or whatever because everything has that colour code system (like, C1 or W4 etc).

I'm in the range of NC20, and I'm a fan of Revlon Colorstay, myself.

I HATED dream matte mousse. It makes your pores look huge and then if you're even slightly breakout-prone, it will make you regret looking at it in the store in the first place.

I didn't like True Match either, it felt chalky on my face and it didn't last long at all.

If you can, try to stick with your MAC foundation. IMHO, foundation (followed by concealer and powder) is the KEY to your whole makeup look. I have tried dozens of drugstore brands, mostly purchased on a whim because I had a coupon or it sounded like it would do miracles, and I keep on going back to my MAC or Department Store brands because nothing really compares! My favorite drugstore foundation brand is Revlon Colorstay, but it doesn't match my skin quite as well as my MAC Studio Tech foundation!

I use Studio Tech too and when I used to be low on cash and have to use drugstore brands, I really liked Revlon's New Complexion. It was my low-budget answer to Studio Tech. I loved the coverage it gave and seriously lasted me all day long. I would definitely reccomend it!

Ain't that the truth. Granted, it does go on like butter, but damnit if it didn't seem to bring out every pore and wrinkle on my face, not to mention no matter how moisturized my face was beforehand, it always ended up getting crusty.

I also liked Revlon's new complexion and L'Oreal's true match. L'Oreals is better though because it doesn't oxidize much like revlon's did.

i agree with the point that if you spend money on anything make it your foundation base as you can use cheap lipgloss etc, i've never found a decent drugstore base yet x
