Some of the shadesticks are drier than others - generally the more frost, the less 'slick' it has. It also depends on the weather and where you store the shadestick.

Give it a quick blast with a hot hairdryer before using it, that should help the product glide onto your skin.

I love shadesticks. but once bought Crimsonnaire and found it too dry, not like the tester was at all. So I wrote MAC about it, and in about 2 weeks they had sent me a new one

I have crimsionaire and it comes out easily for me but I leave it sitting out not far from the window so it stays softer

i love shadesticks..i own almost all of them.

melt the shadestick for 5-10 seconds with a blast from a hot hair dryer, like lara said. watch carefully though, you don't want to completely liquefy them, just soften them up. smooth the product onto your index finger, it should glide right on. from there, apply product to your lid with your finger. it goes on smoother, there's no tugging, and you get a much more controlled application. even out with your finger, or a brush (252 or 242) if you wish. hope this helps.
