e/s base changing with season... hm.

so, your skin is dryer in the winter than it is in the summer, correct?
therefore, is there any possibility that the e/s base you usually use would change because you'd be producing a different amount of oils onto your eyelid?

i dont know if i'm making sense at all or if this idea is even plausible, but the paint that i've relied on since this summer is starting to not work so well, and i'm just trying to brainstorm why.

Hm, OK, let's see... In the winter my skin is pretty normal and fine but during the summer I turn to oily-beyond-reason! So during the cold months I 've use paints and/or fluidlines and in the summer fluidlines up to when the liquidlasts turned up. So, yeah, you make perfect sense to me!
It's like the moisturiser you use should be lighter during the summer and heavier during winter I guess.
