Early start on Halloween

Hey guys, I was thinking ahead for Halloween (so I can budget) and I have the idea that I want to be a Cheshire cat. I just bought Bold and Brash, but what other things would you guys recommend. I'm going for a Cheshire cat inspired look more than anything else. I'm thinking Lady Gaga hair bow for ears, Striped pink socks... you get my drift.

For some reason that conjures images of Gwen Stefani in her video for "What You Waitin' For?" Not sure if that's the direction you wanted to go in, but you could rock a short skirt with a petticoat over the socks.

Yeah, I really like most of the stuff that she wears in that video. The only problem is, I would try to go for the most difficult things because those are the ones that I like (think of when she's carrying the piglet or when she's standing against the hedge in the blue dress). I really wanted to be the white rabbit from her video about two years ago, but didn't do it so maybe I'll take from that and the HK collection from MAC.

LOL so this isn't doing it for you?

I definitely think you should rock a top hat. Maybe a mini top-hat instead of a standard one. You could let your cat ears come out of the hat if it's a standard sized hat...

I would totally do purple, fuschia, silver, and white shadows. Creme de Violet,White Frost,Electra...
Black liquid liner cat eyes.
Super dramatic falsies and I would fill in your brows a lil heavy with a high arch.

Make it stop... my eyes... *washes, rinses, and repeats*

I like top hats, but I think that they're a little overdone in AiW costumes. I am going for the Cheshire cat that's presented in Disney's AiW and his ears are very close together which wouldn't leave space for a top hat (If I were to be Dinah, that might work). He also has bangs and I wouldn't want my eyes to get lost in all of what's happening elsewhere.

Thanks for the ideas though.

He does have some serious arches going on... those sound like good ideas and I'll try to incorporate some of them. Cat eyes always look great with bangs.

Ahh hehe.. okay. I have not seen the Disney version of AiW, but I understand what you're saying now.

I saw a girl on the subway today in black and white striped tights and a puffy tulle? (I think it was tulle) skirt/petticoat thing and I thought of you...

Weird to think about a board written by somebody you don't know out of context like that. :p
