...and I yes, I am a MAC addict. And I am really thrilled to have found Specktra! I have loved makeup, fashion, and beauty products since I emerged from my mother's womb.
(Okay, so maybe I am exaggerating). I'm the thirty-something daughter of Caribbean immigrants, and an NC35 with strong coloring: blackish hair, olive skin, and very light blue eyes. I struggle with quite uneven skin tone (a lot of hyper-pigmentation) and my extreme coloring has made it difficult at times to find colors that are flattering for me...that is, however, until I found MAC. I truly love the fact that women and men of all colors, ages, and tastes can find what they want there, and can follow their fantasies. Yes, I am a professional woman, but I am a professional who likes to show up to work rocking orange eyeshadow (because it looks good on me!)
To me we are talking about more than merely makeup here, and the fact that I can share my thoughts and opinions with the lovely folks on this forum and hear what you all have to say is amazing. I look forward to learning a lot from everyone.
