I dont think so IMO...I find them to be much silkier, and can be used anywhere, wet or dry. I suppose that the pearlizers can be used like that too, but I find the sf soo much prettier.
The pearlizers can be a little chalky, but are beautiful.

You can use them for a lot (as blush alone, on top of another blush to give it a bit of a glow, highlight, eye color) depending on the color and how lightly or heavily you apply them. They're basically multi-purpose highlighters, and yes, you can buy them at a counter.

When I visited mac the other day, I bought a stippling brush, and the MA was such a doll, unlike most of the others in the store, and she told me that the skin finishes are great cause you can use them wet or dry, anywhere on your face incuding your eyes etc.
She also told me that they are really expensive to make and thats why they only come out every so often at such a high price. Personally I dont think its a high price to pay cause they last FOREVER if you take care of em. The only one I picked up from goldplay was gold depoosit, the others I bought are in transit so I dont have em yet.
But she raved about them, which I already knew of course

so yeah, she said you can use em as an eyeliner (upper lid) shadow, wet, dry really anything you want to do....We'll have to run the new ones by martygreene to see if the MA knew her shit
