but you tell me it's a good few months away!

Yeah well I gotta admit I'm tired of always being the procrastinator and buying stuff at 8 PM on Dec. 24! LOL

SO Here is a poll:
Are you a procrastinator-or are you an early shopper?

Neither really... I leave it to the last minute. But that's actually because I love the rush. I love going to the shopping centre/mall at night, when it's really busy lol. It just spells Christmas for me!

I usually shop for Kwanzaa presents at the beginning of December - that's not too bad. If I see something for sale during any point in the year, I'll pick it up and give it as a Kwanzaa gift.

Haha, and "by week before Thanksgiving", I mean the week before Christmas.

But I can't take all the blame for procrastination, people don't usually tell me what they want for xmas until it's ALMOST too late. Plus it sucks to buy something early for someone and find out someone else bought it for em.

I actually don't like xmas much either. I always get stuck working on xmas eve and xmas day. My family gets mad and doesn't understand. My mom and dad get mad if I can't travel the two hours to be at their place. The inlaws get mad if we can't be at their place (we have to go to the MIL and FIL seperately due to their divorce) Then we have all the grandparents on my husband's side that get angry too. It isn't like I can split into 6 people and be everywhere at once. Bah. My favorite xmas ever was when my appendix burst the week before and I was on bedrest. Beautiful. No fighting, no commitments, just pure joy.

I'm both actually. I have a HUGE family to buy for-and we all buy for everyone. We've tried doing like Secret Santas and all but it never sticks so this just the way we do it. Between dh's family and mine I have to shop for approximately 25 people so if I don't start early I am dead! I usually buy small things all through the year but then I really start shopping majorly around Sept or Oct at the latest. It's a good thing I like to shop, lol. Plus I am very insane when it comes to Christmas gifts. I like to give gifts that are perfect for the person receiving them. So, I usually end up still shopping on Christmas Eve or the day before for that last minute thing that I never got around to getting.

Since my family is scattered all over the U.S., Europe and Australia, I buy a lot of gifts online. Sooo much easier. It eliminates the urge to procrastinate. You are a lot more motivated when you can sit in the privacy of your own home as opposed to being awash in the crush of bitchy Christmas shoppers.
