How would you get your hair to style like this? i have the haircut, now I need to figure out how to get the style down...

Blow dry straight with a paddle brush and then flat iron and flip the ends out using the flat iron. Then finish with a shine serum. Try using some kind of smoothing product while blow drying for a sleek look. I personally like Redken Heat Glide for that.

thank you, I need to go and get me a paddle brush. Are there any good ones out there that won't break the bank?

You can get pretty good ones at a drug store for decent prices. Look for ones with natural bristles since they work better than nylon ones.
