EM to Alima ... help?

I have ordered EM samples and I like the foundation but it doesn't have quite the coverage I like. I have heard great things here about Alima, and want to order some samples, but anyone know what are good shades to try close to EM's Golden Medium? Thanks! Also, mineral or satin finishing powder - differences/recs?

I use Alima and like it.

I'm not sure what sort of coverage you're looking for. What are you going for? What "issues" are you trying to cover?

You need to start with the Satin Matte Foundation here:

Most people do not need the Finishing Powder - the foundation looks great on its own - but if you want to use it you can always pick out a coordinating shade after you find your foundation match. Do you know what you are in MAC (NC30, NW20 etc.?) I am not familiar with the EM shades.

Is that Golden Medium TAN or Golden Medium DEEP? (Those are the only 2 Golden Mediums I could find on the EM site.)
