Essential lipstick colours

I am a trans male to female girl and I decided that my makeup needed a good spring clean yesterday, as not being full time

it does not get used as much as it would if I were wearing it everyday. Consequently some of it is rather past it's best and i don't want to get any infections from it. Now I am starting again, and looking at some of the colours of lipstick I have just chucked out. I have obviously picked a lot of colours that did not suit my colouring.
Can anyone help me pick the essential 4 or 5 must have colours to suit my colouring and every occasion.
I am slightly pink toned and not dark but not ever so pale. I tend to have brown/dark reddish hair.
I was thinking of the following general colours

Bright red
Pale/nude/pink
Toffee/caramel
Deep red or berry
Dark red with purple tones
Does anyone have any advice as to specific lipsticks and colour names for those catagories or if i should avoid any of them.

Hey Hun! How good did purge feel? Lmao I always love clearing my stash..(gives me an excuse ti buy new goodies!!)

1) Russian Red (and cherry liner?)
2) creme cup
3) freckletone (might be too light?) or cream in your coffee
4) Viva Glam I, Chanel rouge allure lip laque in dragon,hang up, diva, new York apple/O
5) craving, cyber

^ very good list by Ziya, I think Russian Red, Creme Cup, Cream in Your Coffee and Viva Glam I will definitely be great on you, these colours are as close to universal as you can get IMO and are great basics. I would also recommend checking NARS out, Dolce Vita is a great basic pink/rose shade...have fun shopping!

Thanks guys, looks like it could be an expensive time next time I go to Nottingham which is the nearest MAC store.
However I did get a gorgeous purple lipstick yesterday from Superdrug, it is Revlon VA VA Violet. Can't wait to try it out. I also now want the coordinating nail polish.

Bright red - ruby woo - because it's matte it's quite a classic red
Pale/nude/pink - cremecup is lovely and opaque and hue is nice for barely there colour
Toffee/caramel - high tea is a nice light toffe colour
Deep red or berry - so scarlet from the cult of cherry collection is the best deep red! look out for it!
Dark red with purple tones - not sure on this one!
