Everytime I miss out the best palettes from the LE´s! How come?

Everytime I visit my MAC counter in Cologne, Germany (we have two) the day the new Limited Editions come out, I find myself raging about the fact that I already missed the best.

Just happened to me again with the "Magic,Mirth and Mischief" LE when I desperately wanted to buy "Smoke and Mirrors"! I wonder how many MAC fans are out there that I always find myself in the situation that the best stuff is already sold out???????? Or do the counters only get so few of the palettes? Because everything else was still available. Even on the MAC homepage (we FINALLY can buy online since a few days!

) my palette was already gone.

Do you guys experience the same when you go to the MAC counter?

Can't you ask the MAs to put stuff aside for you?
That's what i do everytime i want a LE item.

Yes, I second that. Why not call them a few days before the LE comes out and ask them to put aside things for you? The better they know you the bigger the chance they put things aside for you.

Agree that you should try getting them to put the items aside for you.

However you shouldn't despair. I think All Cosmetics Wholesale has that palette in stock. Or you could try some of the more reputable sellers on Ebay. Check the threads on here for good ebayers.

It's probably because there are so few counters. Luckily MAC isn't nearly as popular here.

I usually call the same day a new collection is sold in USA and here in Italy we have to wait about an entire month before it is sold also here. So, take your time!

We don't usually have this problem in the US if we show up right on the day of the launch. Maybe you can call the MAC store and ask them to leave some things for you. I'm sure they can do pre-sale where they charge you first, and then you come to pick up the products. That's what is typically done here.

it sucks when things sell out quickly. but i bet the MA's would set something aside for you until you got to the store. maybe you could pay over the phone so they know you're 100% coming in for it?
