Exchanging without a receipt?

This is really stupid because I usually save all of my receipts and I would never normally do something like this, but I can't find this one. I have the prep + prime eye stuff and all I want to to is exchange it and get a paint or something because the prep +prime doesn't seem to do much for me.

If I can't find my receipt, am I stuck with it or will Mac give credit so I can buy a paint?

here's a quick answer: if you bought it at a MAC store, they have all your purchases in their computer, they can look it up as long as you know your address you purchased it under.

if you bought it at Nordstrom, there would be a nordy's upc on the box so you don't even need your receipt ever!
