Eyelash curler problem

I have had me Shu Uemura eyelash curler for a while now. Lately I have been noticing that it's just not curling as well as it used to. It hasn't been damaged in any way & I'm using the same mascara that I have always used. So I'm very curious as to why this is happening. I haven't replaced the little rubber piece in awhile, would that really make a big difference? Could my eyelashes have become immune to curling? (Yes, I realize how stupid that sounds lol)

I had a problem with the rubber and once I replaced it, it was like new. So, that might be the issue?

It must be, I'm going to make sure to get a new rubber insert for it this week : )

Yea how long have you been using it the with "now dodgy" rubber part, coz if you read the instructions it says it should really be replaced roughly every 3 months... could be your reason right there...
