nooo...dont worry, im not gonna ask what "brushes i need"...

buut i do need some help clarifying something.
so im a little confused (and overwhelmed) at the different eyeshadow brushes MAC has.

ive come across the fluff(213), eye shading(239), shader(242), large shader(252)...etc. im sure that it also depends on what ur applying (paints vs ccb vs e/s)...but whats the difference on how it applies when it comes to just e/s?

im trying to find a good brush that applies e/s evenly (esp when it comes to those dreaded lustres...i hate it when it comes out blotchy!!)...i have the 213 that comes in the LE sets (but im not too crazy about it..maybe cuz its kinda small to handle) and the 239..which i like...but sometimes i just give in and apply my shadows with my 217 ..cuz i have so many of them

ok sorry for rambling....but TIA for the help!

Besides your collection of brushes I noticed that the 219 applies ever e/s very bold!
My 222 adds just a wash of color to my lids!

I personally love the 239 for depositing alot of color. I had a makeover done once and the MA told me the 242 was the best for that, but I don't like it. I use the 242 for applying bases (paints, ccb's) and then use the 239 for dropping ALOT of color onto the lid! I love the 272 for the crease! It's perfect!

I really like the 239. It's dense, but still soft. It can pick up a lot of color, and applies smoothly. The 272 is similar, just angled.

If I use a separate brush to blend, I use the 224, but I'm interested in getting the 217.

219 is great for smoky lashlines.

I like the 228 for applying small amounts of shadow.

My top 3 eyeshadow bruhes would be- 242- for dense color on lids, 252- bigger than 242 for all-over the lid, and 224-for the crease.
