Eyeshadow combinations??

Did a search and nothing came up on this topic....my apologies if I'm being repetitive.

Wanted to ask how everyone here goes about coming up with their e/s combinations? looks?
And how do you decide what l/s or l/g goes with you makeup?

Thank you in advance.

i think about what color(s) i want to wear, then swatch them near each other. I usually do light on the lid, medium on the crease, & the darkest color in the corner blended into the crease. Sometimes i'll come on here & look at fotd's or tutorials for ideas.

Just be experimental. a lot of times, the most random colors work out together.

Hope this helped.

I watch a whole lotta YouTube!!! It helps, everyone has a different take on application and shade preferences.

As far as blush and lips, if you are in doubt snap a digital pic then back away walk around for a bit and come back and check the image... if it still sits well with you then it should be fine, plus you will see where you might need to fix uneveness or whathaveyou.

Rule of thumb, if you eyes are shocking you want a more subtle or more neutral toned blush and lips. Typically of soft pinky or nude color will work for lips. If in doubt a bronzer will work and ties the rest of the face together effortlessly, apply lightly to highpoints of face or temples.

Everyone's face is different. It is best to just play in the mirror and find someone who is somewhat similiar to your make up style preference and absorb. I have learned so much!

There are tuts on here also, just search the products you already have and you will be amazed at the combos and looks you can achieve.

sorry if I am rambling, i am tired

for lips its best to go cool eye colors with cool toned ls lg or warm with warm when u can't decide! if ur wearing say a gold eyeshadow on ur browbone then choose a lip that has a pretty gold shimmer in it! a natural hued lipstick 1-2 shades darker then ur real lips will always go perfectly too.

Not sure if someone mentioned this but I go though this forum's FOTD and Tutorial do a search for an eyeshadow you have and see what others have paired with it.
