Eyeshadow finishes??

Can anyone direct me to somewhere that distinguishes between all the different MAC eyeshadow finishes? Some of them seem much more like a frost than I would have thought. Thanks for any help!

As far as I can tell, there is no "official" descriptions of the finishes. Encore's videos are excellent though.

I'm not sure if these are "official" descriptions or not, but at least macpro.com lists the finish descriptions. To find the descriptions for the e/s go to Products > Shadow > Eye Shadow. Link to the finish descriptions is just above the drop down menu.

I have seen the same also on the Nordstrom's site.

The below is from the link to the finish descriptions right from the eyeshadow page on the MAC website. You just click on "Finish Descriptions" and you get a popup with the below info in MAC's own words.

I am wearing Beautiful Iris and Parfait Amour! right now and while applying them, this morning, I've focused on their category. Veluxe Pearl and Frost. But sincerely, they look very different in finish to the other veluxe pearl and frost I own. I would say that the pearl one is more "shimmering" than the frost. So... are the category sticky? Or they are just a sort of "blurred idea"? I'm confused...
