I've been looking for something like this too.

I thought I found a place online the other day but now I can't find the site.
I got all caught up in the site that sells makeup apron brush holders. Darn. If I find it I will post it.

I hope someone else knows where to find other ones!

You might find some useful answers in the thread Where to get empty palletes and the links contained within that thread.

Make Up For Ever does a range of pallettes for eye shadows but they're not likely to be very cheap and Sephora doesn't seem to stock them. You can see details of the pallettes here

To be honest, at $12.50 the M·A·C pallettes fit my description of cheap - especially as they cost about $18.50 here in the UK

You can buy some at a-squirrel.com, but currently they are out of stock. I believe they were ten dollars for a 15 well pan, and were able to hold mac sized shadows. I'm currently making my own as a matter of fact! In total, the cost is 4.50 with stuff I bought from Michaels that included a single compartment case (should hold about 8 shadows), magnetic sheets, and a sheet of foam. I just need an exacto knife to cut out the circles, and I'll be set! I promise I'll post pictures after it's done (should be by tomorrow or tuesday) hth!
EDIT: Also, there's this http://www.makeupmania.com/Details/TI-0006-18-000P.cfm but I have no idea if they would fit MAC or Milani pans. Maybe you can email them and ask? anyway hth!

www.MODcosmetics.com has some that are 15-pan for eyeshadows that fit the MAC, Milani, & that size, then they have a combo palette that fits eyeshadow & a few blushes....it tells you what fits in which ones. They also have some 5-pan trays that I'm waiting for that I've got a couple 5-shadow sets of MAC e/s I'm planning to put in them. They're taking like 5 weeks to get here, tho, from when I ordered them.

The MAC 1-800-387-6707 has everything you can order, including the palettes. They're much cheaper than ebay, like $12 for the 15-pan and the quads are 3 or 4. And you get them in like 3 days! It's really fast.

The only ones I've used so far are MAC, but the MOD ones are a good copy, and the 5-pan horizontal ones are different than I've seen anywhere else. Someone here had a metal pan from a hobby shop and had them inserted into that, without wells but stuck in columns, and that was another good idea. If you want the slim black cases with wells, though, you might need to just call the MAC #. I need to take pics of mine because I'm so proud of how they are arranged now! My first one with my green palette case I had a couple that chipped, but I've gotten better at it. It's fun to see your colors organized, isn't it!!!

Problems with this are that it is described as "paper covered", it only holds 12 shadows and at $18 is a lot more expensive than the M·A·C 15 pallette. Another problem is that the holes for shadows are 15/16" which is a lot larger than M·A·C shadows which are 1" across. You can see a full description of the Make Up Mania empty pallette here

MAC ones are quite cheap aren't they?? i've seen other people do this to theres: Get the 15 sized pallete one, take the top tray thingy off leaving yourself with a slim box- the bottom is magnetic, so you can just stick your e/s onto the bottom of the pallete- however...i hope you get what i mean! I'm tired, and so probably doing a terrible job explaining!

OH NO! I might try that one for other brands then. IF I ever get it....I did email MOD and they answered me saying that they do indicate it might be up to 8 weeks after you pay for it, which I'm going on like 6 right now. I'm really anxious for the 5-pan because I have some MAC's waiting for those, but if the palettes aren't quality I might just send them back for a refund.

Really, there's a shipping charge, but getting the 15-pan MAC's for $12 and the quads for 3-4 direct from MAC, receipt in like 3 days, can't be beat anywhere.

Dreamergirl, I'm wondering tho if you can maybe even fix up 2 layers in yours? You could have an upper and lower deck maybe? How did you make that one anyway?

Thanks for the update on Mod palettes! I have a MAC 15 pan, great quality, sleek case, of course no mirror (so glued my own on) and as meant originally to store shadows (the pros) no brush. The 4 pans have plastic cover, good quality, again, no mirror or brush, or slot for one. The only trouble I've had is being careful not to scratch the metal inside the wells! The CG are pretty good quality too. CG shadows have magnets attached, so if using MAC, Milani shadows, need to glue on magnets,
self-adhesive backing, etc. I've tried making my own cases using a huge nail implement
case, too heavy. Plastic case, too thick. Even the CD trick, but they aren't meant for
shadows, unless you like duct taping plastic cases (the metal AOL tins don't hinge).

When putting magnets on my depotted e/s, I never spend money to buy magnetic strips, I just cut those magnetic business card thingy's that companies send out in the mail for promos. I put a dab of rubber cement on the back of the pan, and stick on my little cut piece of magnet. FREEBIE!! =)

oops, forgot to add, I LOVE the CG palettes for creating e/s quads. They are cheap and convenient to buy at Wal-Mart.
