Eyeshadows for crepe-y lids

Hi everyone. I have crepe-y lids - heredity stinks - and they get worse and look worse the more products I apply and the more rubbing/blending I do. Any recommendations on shades/looks/miracles??? I have tried the paint pots and I thought it made it much worse. Help!! I love to do strong eye looks and this is a major stumbling block for me.

^^ Crepe-y eyelids usually means the lids have many very fine wrinkle lines in them.
Avoid shimmery eyeshadow because the light reflecting off of the shimmer settling in these fine lines will make it look worse.

Like crepe paper!!! Yuck! So much for my foray into shimmer - matte it is!

Hi, I'm new here but I read this and had to reply, as I've also got the same problem. I love frosts and shimmers, and have been struggling with a way to wear them. I've had pretty decent success by compromising: using a primer on the lid first, then using a matte in the crease area and just a bit before/after it, and finally adding the shimmer/frost to the front portion of the lid by the lash line, and also above the brow bone. I can usually get away with using frosts/shimmers at the inner section of the lower lid (again, close to lash line) too. It isn't ideal, but it allows me to wear those beautiful pigments and sparkles without a lot of crepe.

I feel your pain on it. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much everyone for all the recommendations. What about a primer? I tried the paint pot but it seemed waaaayyyy too drying for my eyelids. Does the paint feel the same? What about Urban Decay primer?

I know this is late, but I heard Too Faced Shadow Insurance is better for dry lids, whereas UDPP is better for oily lids. Try the Shadow Insurance instead.
