Fafi Haul - thoughts on collection

I liked this collection and a lot of the Mac MA's believed it was better than the Barbie collection...but in no way was that the case. The collection definitely had some gems, but some disappointments as well. I was way excited about the Rollickin' paintpot, but the color was much more flatter in real life. It was not as blue-green as I had hoped and was too matte. The Fashion Frenzy blush was way too pink. Didn't care for the lipglosses either. But anyway, here are some of the things I got:

Hipness blush (very pretty pink-peach)
Strawbaby LS (nice coral and great texture. It made my lips feel so soft)
Cash Flow pp
Nice Vice pp (shows up nicely under Star Violet. Cool color!)
Perky pp (very versatile! and it gets Paradisco to show up on me! yay!

Great haul! Yeah, an MA told me this would probably be bigger than Barbie. Not in my eyes......

I bought Strawbaby l/s also; it's amazing! I'm going to buy extras! I passed on the quads though; I just didn't think the colors would work well on me. Oh and hipness is the hotness.

Yeah, my Nordies MA RAVED about the collection and did the Barbie comparison too. I personally ended up getting most everything, but I wasn't too hot on the Quad #2 (a bit much for the office), and some of the Paint Pots (but I am still eyeing Perky). Thanks so much for your honest inputs. We're mostly enablers here (lol) but it's nice to hear a voice of reason in our crazed madness for each collection.

Yeah, I'm really glad I got Strawbaby! It was hard deciding between Strawbaby and Utterly Frivolous, but Strawbaby seemed more unique to me. I've never had a lustre Mac lipstick before and many seemed to hate them, but this one is great - a must have really. The quads are ok, but the Heatherette trios are going to be so much hotter!

I know, most of the time I just go with the flow and get so much of a collection and when I get it home, I'm like why did I buy this?! LOL, but on the bright side, I'm VERY happy with what I did get so it was definitely not a bad collection by any means.

From seeing the swatches on here, I have to agree with you on the Fafi collection. I still like and enjoy it, but I don't feel it lived up to the hype.

But fabulous haul!!! Hipness and those paint pots look lovely!!
