Fall 06 mailer

Today I got a fall 06 booklet from MAC! Inside is 3 attached post cards of Untamed, Rockocco, and Studio Mists. the booklet just promotes the fall things and doesnt really tell anything about the collections we already don't know. It got me excited hah!

you join the customer database when you purchase products in the store or at the counter. i get odd ones but not every one. i dont know why. i didnt get any for amuse or avant gold but i got one for lure/bait/hooked.

I got the Lure/Bait/Hooked one too. Do you think they don't send them if you don't come in a while?

I go into the store for every collection and don't get all the mailings. It's sort of random plus they don't do mailings for everything.

Ahh, okay, I know what that is now. I know I'm in it because I remember them keying in my info back in late June but so forth I haven't received anything in the mail from them. I guess it's kind of hit and miss *le sigh*.

I was wondering if a mailer was going to come out at all. Well, I'll be shocked if it actually makes it to me, I'm convinced the post is stealing mine.

you know, i dont understand the mailings. i have been in their database for years, and only maybe gotten 3 things in the mail. however, i just did an online order a few weeks ago, so perhaps thats why i got the mailer?

The last mailer I got was sundressing.. and that was the invite. I never got anything for Lure or for the Rockocco/Untamed preview party.

I have been buying stuff both instore and online for quite some time,.. and I sporadically get stuff,... It does seem very random.

sewpunk, I'd think I spend enough to get them too.

I did get the Untamed from Dillards, but the others are just random. I've gotten MAC from the website, which always puts cards in the boxes, and I buy it at Dillards and Nordstroms, and have ordered from Macy's, too. Nobody seems to understand how it happens or what the key is to getting them! I know I've given my mailing info to the counter at Dillards, and would have assumed they have it all at MAC online, but when I've ordered from the counter at Nordstrom's over the phone, I didn't specifically ask them to put me on their mailing list, altho I get Nordstrom's catalogs & have a charge account there. I guess that's what keeps them so sought after, by people filling in the gaps in their collections.

I have asked at the counter if there was a mailing list I could get added to, and the MA said they don't have anything like that. I would think that MAC has all my info with all the money that I spend at the counter and online. Sometimes I get a postcard in the box, but its usually bent.
