false lashes

Just had a few questions regarding the procedure for putting on falsies.

Do you line your lid before or after (i.e. over the band of the lashes)?

What if you're using liquid glitter liner - will putting on the glitter liner first decrease the ability of the glue to adhere to the skin?
Should you put the glitter directly on top of the lash band or on the skin right above the lashes?

After you've put the falsies are, can you use the backend of, lets say, a tweezer to press the lashes down into the skin? How lightly should you press? I find that sometimes when I press one spot too heavily or for too long, the glue kind of dries whitish - or is that becuase I waited too long to put the lashes on and the glue has already got too tacky/dry?

Any other tips or tricks on putting on falsies would be really appreciate, as I am new to this =)

Thanks!

If I'm using liquid liner I'll use it before putting lashes on and after as a touch up. Pencil, just before.
I find that putting on glitter liner before the lashes kinda sux because you can't see the glitter as well, so for glitter liner I put that on afterwards, although after using the lashes they will have glitter over them.
I'm not sure about using tweezers as I don't like suing them I just use my fingers, but I press pretty hard to make sure hey stick, so I guess it doesn't matter how hard you press as long as you don't hurt yourself...

Sorry, thats all I can offer you for now...
