Favorite beauty magazines? That aren't all ads??

What are your favorites mags, that have good visuals, good tips, or good step-by-step articles in them?

I love looking through the "tutorial" thread at the pages of Japanese magazines that posters have scanned. Aren't there *any* English magazines that have great tutorials or information like that?

[EDIT] Actually no... I take that back. Glamour is NOT good for beauty tips, and actually I've never seen any step-by-step guides...

Erm... but I am going to start buying Allure now.

In Style magazine is the best IMO. I subscribe to a lot of magazines, including Allure, Glamour, Lucky, Self, etc. In Style is consistently the best as far as beauty pictures, information, and step-by-step tips.

Allure is the best but still not as good as the Japanese mags.

You're probably better off just looking on boards like Specktra or reading blogs. Most magazines will discuss the product and it's ad-like

I was at a newstand today that had all the international Vogue, Glamour, etc issues. I unearthed a few Japanese magazines but they were a) shrinkwraped and b) 20.00 each! I wish I could have at least flipped through them to see what was in there.

Anybody know the names of any of these Japanese magazines?
