First date make-up

Soooo I have a date on Friday

ahem (it's been a while) and I was wondering what's good for a first date make up?


Last time he saw me I was wearing gold leggings and had a very OTT fluidline/contrast/orange/woodwinked thing going on.

The date is just the pub, but on a Friday night in the drinking area of my city. Should I go more neutral/casual or glam it up a bit?

Also if anybody has any FOTD for first dates I'd love a look at them. Thanks

Oh how I miss my bright red lips. Should have added this in the first place... am going on first date minus half a front tooth (he's already heard all about it) from when I was in a car accident recently. Thus I've had to shelve my wonderful bright red lips look. Boo.

Though I've found that using Beurre with Viva Glam Lipglass VI looks nice and subtle and doesn't attract too much attention to my mouth.

In that case, I think you should do a really dramatic eye to draw attention to that bit of your face and a nude or brownish color for the lips :]

I totally understand the missing half a front tooth deal, I had to deal with that for awhile after my brother shoved me into a tile wall until I could get it fixed. I would glam it up without being too OTT, some false eyelashes and a smoky brown eye would be gorgeous!

i would go for a smokey grey or smokey brown look.. i would go for a natural lip though, probably a light pinkish nude color like 'angel'..or slimshine in 'bare', it gives a nice glossy look minus the sticky feeling ;-)

I suppose it depends on what your intentions are for the date. I think you have to think about what message you want to send and then ask again. KWIM?

purples are always nice - you could go for a soft purpley look using beautiful iris shadow. or go more vibrant using violet pigment. that way on your lips you could get away with a light pink gloss and that's it. and hopefully taht won't draw too much attention to your mouth.

Julia (MissChievous) has a really pretty 'flirty smokey eye' tutorial on youtube. I think it'd be a great first date look.

I would go with a smokey neutral eye and lightly glossed lips. Red lips look great but aren't kissable. Define the eyes and highlight the skin...he won't forget you.

I was thinking maybe doing like a smokey eyes with a twinge of green to make my eyes pop. The sort of impression I want to give is that sexy, fun... but not easy (I'm a good girl

)

Nude lips are good too and thanks for the tip about the slimshine... nothing worse than sticky lips at a crucial moment.... that and I ALWAYS get my hair stuck in it hahahahaha!

^^^ As far as the lips, this is where I'm a fan of bene-tint...stains the lips a nice "I just ate a cherry popsicle" color, but won't kiss off.

I've got about a 1/4 bottle left of this but it's the weirdest thing. When I started wearing it, it looked really good but now it just looks odd. Particularly in photos. I have pretty pigmented lips and I'm wondering if the pigmentation in them has changed. I use it mostly for a quick blush now.
