Hi Everyone,

So since i finally picked up my first official eyeshadow primer [UDPP] i was realy excited to try it out today. However, its not quite working the way i expected it to? I love wearing metalic/shimmerying eyeshadows and for some strange reason, the UDPP seemed to minimize the sparkle! *oh no!*

Not to mention i wasn't feeling very photogenic today and the rainy, cloudy, soggy Vancouver weather has kicked in again...

EYES:
NYC BrowZing
GOSH Brown Liner Pencil WP
Volum Express Mascara
Rimmel Smokey Brun Palette
MAC Studio Finish COncealer

LIPS:
MAC Pretty Please [felt like I should of muted out lips first with concealer before i put this on...hmmm..]

Hey hun...the shadow looks very pretty and natural, just a couple suggestions for you; pop a highlight under your brow and in your inner corners that's just a little brighter (it kinda looks like you used one, but I'm not quite sure) to polish the look and wake up your face. If you're having problems with the UDPP get the one in Sin, it's slightly shimmery, so it may lend itself better to your taste in shadows. Muting your lips with concealer would've changed the look of your lipstick, but I think it looks lovely anyway.

Good point about Sin, ForgetRegret, I can't find that in the UK.

OP, maybe you've used too much UDPP, my HG shade is a shimmer wash by BB and I put a tiny tiny bit of UDPP and rub it in on my lids so my whole lid is covered and properly rubbed in, my lids look as they did before but they are covered

I've put a bit too much UDPP on before and it has made my shadow too bright and it also takes away the shimmer.

It is very natural and pretty, but you as ForgetRegret pointed out, you'll probably be more satisfied with Sin UDPP rather than the original. Also, you really only need a very thin layer of UDPP to get the effect. HTH!

hey there fellow Vancouverite!

you might need to pack on the shadow with a sponge applicator then blend with a brush

I also think a liquid liner would be nice on you to define your eyes. Just make sure you soften the edges with a darker shadow on top of it

I am sorry that it wasn't all that you hoped.
But I must 2nd Blackmetalmist, I am sorry but I can't see any colour on your lids only eyeliner. I really don't mean to be mean.

I can see the shadows, the flash is probably washing them out.

UDPP is tricky, I can't apply shadows straight over the top or they won't blend and look funny. I think the trick is to apply the tiniest bit just to where your lid creases then put something sticky over the top like a shadestick, p/pot or cream shadow before putting your e/s on.
