Fluidliner compared to liquidlast

Hey Ladies!

This is my first post, and I am absolutely in love with MAC! I value the opinions of the users so I want to ask this;

I have currently discovered the amazing fluidline products. I have started out my soon to grow collection with dipdown for a more natural look. Although, my style is more dramatic and I am looking to venture out! Has anyone tried the liquidlast liners in comparison to the fluidline? I am interested in the liquidline because of the enclosable brush, you don't have to worry about it drying out. But I was precise as well as easy application. I am using a 208 angle brush with my fluidline now. What do you think?

Thanks!

I prefer Fluidline to Liquidlast for the following reasons
1) the brush for liquid last is pretty flimsy. I tried apply with my normal fluidline brush and it seems that it's better to apply it with a pointed brush.

2) the texture is very goopy and it has a tendency to stick to the eyelashes. It is quite obvious that the tube will dry out in less than a year.

However, Liquidlast does have more vibrant colors and better staying power. I have Dress Khaki and Blue Herizon.

I love both and use them everyday. LLL are more vibrant and fun so i line thickly with these, whereas F/L are reserved for tightlining.

Of course staying power for LLL is unbeatable.

I ike the Fluidlines better because....if I make a mistake it's way easier to correct it and because several times the liquid ran in to my eye and on my contact lenses and it was not good, they are a bitch to get off

Liquidlast Liners were an answer to prayer for me. I tend to get severe allergies through summer and my eyes can water constantly all day long. That makes it impossible to wear makeup- even Fluidlines will come off after an hour or two with such watery eyes.

Liquidlast liners can be used as a base or as a liner, and they will stay on all day even when my eyes do not stop watering.

If I apply the LLL to my lid WITH MY FINGER it gives me enough time to set a pigment on there BEFORE it dries, blend and then it will stay put for days, if I don't remove it (which I always do, but if I REALLY needed it to stay, it would). Using a brush makes the LLL dry out way too fast and it ruins the brushes over time.

As for the liner itself, it is goopy and if you learn to work WITH it, it is fabulous. I use the liner brush to apply tiny dots of liner across the lid on each eye, until I have covered the lashline with dots. Then the liner brush is empty enough NOT to glop the lashes, so I can connect the dots with the brush at that point.

It works BEAUTIFULLY. I get almost none on my lashes and if I blot it gently when done, it sets quickly and does not ghost up onto my lids.

It is very hard to remove, however, so if I really want to be able to remove it easily later (on non watery eye days) then I simply apply it over Fluidline base (either as liner or as a complete eyeshadow base).

It removes a bit easier that way.

Fluidline makes a fabulous base or stand alone eyeshadow depending on the color. I love the entire collection of both products. They are indispensible for my makeup application now. They have opened up my creativity a lot more and flexibility in makeup application too.

seriously. I did this today,it is hot as hell and still (almost) perfectly applied. no creasing! I used aqualine liquidlast (applied as described above but blended with a taklon brush)...and went over it with l'oreal hip showy(parrot dupe) and the dark blue in the crease. it looks wonderful still

tightlined with blacktrack fl(still perfect after a hot busy day with two little ones-chasing them around a playground in the blazing sun)
Now I am going to have to get the rest of them for this purpose:!!!

I have bo9th but i prefer fluidline...i hate the brush on the liquidlast liner...it does have great staying power but on me it some times peels...which i don't like...fluidliners are just so much easier for me to use and i don't ussually have a problem with them.

Fluidline is a gel liner that dries to a powder finish. It's flakes off sometimes on my waterline and it gets a little messy, but most of the colour is still there.

The Liquidlast is just the longest lasting product ever. Forget the powerpoints and what everybody has said about the lasting power... this stuff is the longest. You can't use it on your waterline though! I have trouble taking this stuff off even, but I don't use it as much because I don't like having one perfectly staright line. I like softer liners, namely fluidlines and pencils

I prefer the Fluidlines as a base for my e/s, but I think the LLL are really good for lining. the brush is crappy though, so if you can get disposable liquid liner wands, the ones with the felt tip, those are much better.

I am so GLAD that it worked for you! That is why I bought all of the LLL except for two so far. They are so fantastic for those watery eye days.

Sometimes when my lids are really sensitive from allergies (seasonal) I have to apply FL under first as a base, but most of the time if my eyes are normal, LLL works great as a base.

The cleanse off oil removes the liquid last liners.

I love the vivid and intense colors and pigments of the liquid last liners but as aforemention'd, you can't use them in the rims. The deal with the fluid line/power point liners/kohls/pencils is that they will move (in the waterline because of the natural oils our rims produce) when it's humid out and may need to touch up a bit.

I love using the fluid lines as a base under make up, especially the darker shades in the crease.
