On Saturday, my mom babysat my daughter and kept her overnight, giving my boyfriend and I a day and night together. Unfortunately, being a single mom limits my availability so most weeks we don't see each other more than a few hours on two separate days. The times we get a (nearly) full day together, and a night, are something I really appreciate and cherish. Last time we had one, we spent the afternoon in Chinatown in San Francisco, then went to dinner at the place we had our first date. This time I was the one planning our day, and I opted to go to Armstrong Woods to walk around and have a picnic lunch. It was a really nice afternoon. Once we got back to my BF's house, I took a little nap while he watched some TV, and a bit later we went out to a Vietnamese noodle place for dinner. We ended the night by watching Insidious - which I enjoyed. It was a really nice day and night, and I know my daughter had a grand time being spoiled by her Grandma at a local parade/festival.
