murdered last month, this is from the st. louis post-dispatch. basically what we knew all along & what the post-dispatch should be doing after she was marginalized by their coverage.
Slain woman had taken no drugs, autopsy finds
Cassandra Kovack, 28, who was slain last month, did not have traces of any illegal drugs in her system, according to toxicology tests conducted by the St. Louis medical examiner's office, St. Louis homicide detectives said Monday.
Leonardo Drisdel, 46, who is charged with first-degree murder in Kovack's death, told police in a confession that he had gone to Kovack's apartment in the 3500 block of Miami Street to smoke crack cocaine with her, police said. The victim was beaten, slashed and mutilated, police said.

let me add that i'm not a prohibitionist. it's not whether or not someone takes drugs that bothers me, it's that cassandra was assumed to be someone she's not by the words of the suspect. another example of how lazy & biased the media can be.
