Hey guys, I just wanted an opinion on hooded lids and some advice cause I always think I am doing something wrong or missing something! If i open my eyes completely, you can hardly see any shadows lol but if I blend too far up I think it look a little weird on me!

I've attached a full face photo in crappy lighting and then eyes with natural lighting.

I haven't got false lashes on, do you think thats whats missing?

I'm not a MUA or anything so I don't have any advice on hooded eyes makeup application but I can clearly see your eyeshadows on your eyes with them open, really pretty, especially the outer corner. I think it looks perfect :) But if you want advice, if I'm not mistaken, Marlena from Makeup Geek on YouTube has a video or an article. Check out makeupgeek.com. HTH :)

The shading looks great and i'm sure with the lashes on, you could probably take it out further without it looking weird.

I actually think it looks very beautiful. There's nothing wrong with what you've done.
If you want some more tips on how to maximize hooded eyes, I can help you. I also have hooded eyes. I'm going to link you to some photos of work I've done on myself and explain the methods I used to maximize my lid space. It's easier than sourcing other images and not being able to credit artists. I'm going to link the images because I don't want anyone to feel like I'm spamming my work. Not tryin' to be a promo whore over here.

In this photo, you can see one of my favourite methods to make the lid look large.
Take 3 colors in the same family. One very light, one medium, and one much darker that contrasts well. Use the darkest shade to carefully and sharply cut a crease, not necessarily at the real crease, but directly on the socket bone. Take the medium shade to the lid, and highlight the center of the lid with the lightest shade. It adds more dimension and brings the eyelid forward. If you look at the one on the bottom left, you'll see that I built the edge of the crease up to the outer part of my lid. This makes the eye appear more open.
In contrast, here's a photo that demonstrates what little lid space I actually have, so you can better see the difference that this method makes:

Heres another method:

If you use two very similar shades, one matte and one shimmer, it's easy to cheat where your lid is. You can blend them together a little higher than you usually can in a traditional look, and bring the color up. The contrast between the two can create an effect that lifts the crease.
And, also, try not to line your upper lashline. I know it's very tempting, but that line of black thickens the lashline and diminishes lid space.

mine is even worse, my hooded lid is super thin and it disappears straight into my eyelid so that they look like single lid but actually. jus that the lid is very thin and hidden. Geesh. I hate my asian hooded lids... Gotta draw my eyeliner super thick everytime. :( :(
