I have a big graduation event at the end of May and a ton of people want me to do their make up. My problem is my collection isn't really "MA" ready. I only have my foundation and concealer shade. Does MAC have any type of foundation that is suitable for everyone? My next problem is the skin color. Should I purchase a few different shades or can I just get two shades and mix them? TIA!!!

if you wanna purchase one foundation in many colors, go with studio tech. its a medium coverage than can be sheered down or built up and works with all skin types and photographs beautifully. it takes ALOT of skill to mix a few (definately more than two) shades to match many skin tones.

if you don't wanna purchase a whole range of colors, just have everyone bring their own foundation in and have you apply it.

MUFE's Mat Velvet or Face & Body, it's far more better than any MAC foundation in my opinion and a nice addition to your kit.

Unless you are planning to continue doing freelance makeup for a price, I wouldn't bother buying a bunch of different foundations that you might not ever use again, or they might expire. Are you being paid to do their makeup? Or are you doing it for free? Buying foundations in a bunch of different shades can get costly and is quite an investment.

I would just ask your friends to bring their own foundation, powder and concealer.

bringing their own base is quite a gud idea!! but if u cnt do tht as for the formula u can buy studio fix fluid. for sheer covergae u can add moisturiser to it.and it already can be worked into medium and full coverage.
for shade u may buy nc/nw 15 30 and 45 and mix and match to make perfect shades for them.hth!

Maybe you could note the people's skin tones from light to dark, get the lightest shade and the darkest shade and then mix colors for those people in between. I *think* I heard EnKore (youtube) mention something like that in one of his videos...May need to check that out again...Anyhoo, that way you'd only use 2-3 bottles of foundation for everyone...I hope they're paying you something for your work...
