Foundation Help Needed Please...

So, I'm on a mission to find a foundation that covers better and has a more natural look. Unfortunately in my younger days, I abused the sun a few to many times and have some lovely brown spots that need to be covered. My skin is fairly normal in the summer and normal to a few dry areas in the winter. Here are some that I've tried and my comments about them. If you know of something else that might work good for me, please lmk! I am just about out of my current Studio Stick and need to get something soon! Thanks for any help you can offer.
Chanel Pro Lumiere Nude (good)
Christian Dior Forever Foundation #10
(color a bit light)
Christian Dior Forever Foundation #20 (coverage ok )
Estee Lauder Double Wear #2N2 Fresco
Estee Lauder Double Wear # 2N1 Desert Beige (both pretty good, but not great)
Laura Mercier Moisturizing Warm Ivory (color ok, not enough coverage)
MAC NW20-25 depending on tan (ok) (have used Studio Fix, Studio Tech, Studio Stick and Studio Sculpt
Make Up Forever Lift Foundation #10 (color ok, not enough coverage)
Make Up Forever Mat Velvet #30 (color ok, rather dry)
NARS Balanced Deauville ? (so-so)

sounds like you might do well with something moisturizing, but you need something heavier than a normal tinted moisturizer - matte foundations are too dry on you, and "lighter" foundations don't cover enough.....You might want to check out Clarins Super restorative tinted cream - super moisturizing, very emollient (like the Chanel) great creamy coverage. I use in the winter when I'm a little dry - I use a foundation brush on the days I want more coverage, and on the days I'm doing good but still want something I use a blush brush to buff it on. and it smells great.
Bobbi Brown also makes a great foundation stick, but I wonder if it would feel too dry to you. I think it's nice, but I tend to be a bit oily esp. in summer.
good luck, it sounds like you have weeded through many already!

i do think mufe mat velvet would be to rough on your skin type. its perfect for my oily slick t-zone. i have hyperpigmentation brought on by my lovely child bearing years! i have since discovered dermablend concealor stick in bronze and let me tell about the coverage! its provides perfect full coverage for my problem areas and the texture is very creamy and smooth. i now can wear MSF to highlight my cheeks where as before i could not becuz it would bring attention to the dark areas becuz they would peek through. I have chanel foundation formula teint n tint(?) and its nice in the winter and would probable work for you. it actually feels a bit moist going on but its lovely. good luck!

I just tried Prescriptives Flawless Skin foundation and I loooooove it. I'm NC20 with MAC, with Prescriptives I'm Ecru. Its got great, buildable coverage and my skin actually feels better after I've been wearing it.

MUFE HD...I love the coverage, it's very buildable, although I can't wear it some days, because I'm REALLY oily...it'd probably work well for you.

I like MUFE HD. I use this and the Mat Velvet (not together though of course). I have a lot of acne scars and redness and MUFE seems to work well for me. You will probably need a concealer for the more troubled spots on your face though.

I love MUFE HD, however there's not alot of coverage so I can't see it working for you. Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk is wonderful, and paired with a matching powder would give you enough coverage without being dry and too matt. I am finding the older I am getting, the less matt I can be without it aging me...

For a lot of coverage I still really like the MAC Full Coverage Foundation.
I don't know how it behaves on normal to dry skin though because my skin is very oily. It can be sheered out with a sponge and water or Fix+ too. There is a great video from gossmakeupartist on youtube about this foundation.

What I love about it is that it doesn't feel heavy at all what really surprised me because I was used to have a weird heavy feeling on my skin from the first cream foundation I tried (Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation *yuck*).

I use Graftobian with MUFE conclearer palette when I need more coverage. In my younger years I had almost no acne but after the turning 30 my skin went nuts so I have some acne scars. Graftobian and MUFU covers it and give me a flawless finish. I absolutely love this foundation.

I own several other foundations from MAC, MUFE, Estee' Lauder but my go to foundation when I need the perfect coverage is Graftobian.

Good Luck
