FOUNDATION lasts maybe 2 hrs! HELP!

Ok, so some of you may know that I recently moved to a totally different climate area, and since then, my skin refuses to allow my foundation to stick to it. by around 9-10 am (and I leave home at 745) my foundation has rubbed or melted off my chin, nose, and forehead, even though I don't touch my face much. I have tried different primers, and different foundations, to no avail.

Any suggestions?!

I've tried Bare Minerals Primer, also Prep & Prime Skin
Foundations: Laura mercier mineral powder, Shiseido liquid foundation, Everyday Minerals Powder Foundation, and HYperreal Pressed Powder... all of which gets gross and melty looking.

This happens when I'm not hot, when I'm hot, etc, etc. HELP!

Try a setting powder underneath and over the foundation it will help to keep it on longer and it will set it on to the skin. I use Youngblood but try your favorite brands setting powder. Once you get used to this new climate hopefully your skin will adjust better to it.

OK, I know I should say Mac's Studio Fix fluid right about now, but the best staying foundation I've ever used is Revlon Colorstay Foundation

. I think it's about $12 or so, but it defenitely stayed on me, and it might be worth a shot!

I should have stated that another problem I have it finding a foundation thats pale enough- NW15 is too dark, so unfortunately that severely limits my options.

Smashbox's primer is pretty good. Setting your foundation with a powder will also keep it from rubbing off. Then using MAC's fix+ after you've done your makeup will set your foundation even more. It really does work. Try that! Also, if the climate is warmer than you're used to try a lighter foundation like MAC's Face & Body foundation or a powder foundation. hope that helps

If you are that pale MUFE has a porcelain shade for you. Its pretty water resistant (less smearing) Matte Velvet makeup is pretty good. Don't moisturize before hand, just go directly to foundation. Carry blotting papers, the kind with translucent powder like Shiseido and NARS make.

been using powder AND fix+ together, and used a powder foundation...nothing works. My next try is the oil control moisturizer and the face & body in C1 mixed with WHITE. lol I bought the face and body tonight.

I live in Phoenix, and it's SO damn hot during the summer and any kind of makeup tends to melt off.. ugh.

I've been using Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer with Smashbox Photo-Finish Light. I think the original Photo-Finish is too heavy feeling. The lighter version is so much better.. and Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer is lightweight with great coverage. I set it all with Laura Mercier's loose powder..I'm very very fair too and Laura Mercier has great colors for fair skin!

For me this routine works pretty well and it tends to have a good staying power..Although I'm dying to try Estee Lauder Double Wear Light..

OH and also..I use DDF Ultra-Lite Moisturizing Dew. I get dry skin and this is moisturizing but very very fresh and light, perfect for under foundation.

When I get really oily and want to use liquid foundation I mix translucent loose powder with my moisturizer with it to make sure the foundation has something to stick to. My skin gets really oily in the summer and it stays on all day.

If you're willing to try DS, I'd say Revlon Colorstay. I've always got a hard time getting it off, so it might be able to hold up all day for you. And they make it in pretty light shades (I'm around NC15 for most of the year and use the 3rd lighest shade).

Otherwise, have you tried doing primer, a blotting powder, foundation/concealer, then setting it? It seems like a lot, but that's my technique for hot/humid areas.

Try smashbox. I also use mac studio tech & finish it with mac mineral finish w/ some fix +. This should work. Really buff the mineral finish
good luck

Maybe Prescriptives Virtual Matte? I think that Doublewear lasts longer, but you might find a better color match with Prescriptives.

why dont you try the new Urban Decays De-Slick powder? it's meant to be amazing apparently, and better than blotting sheets

Prescriptives doesn't have a shade light enough, unless I can find where they customize it.

and someone mentioned Color Stay and other DS kinds, havent tried that one, since most DS foundations are about 4 shades too dark for me... its freakin awesome.

I live in Houston which is as humid as it comes. Revlon Colorstay does last all day I just can't wear it because its hard to blend for me so it looks really cakey.
