It depends on your skintone. If you have combo skintone, it works pretty well. I use a primer first, like Smashbox or Prep & Prime, then smooth it on with a brush. It has a slight iridescence that keeps you from getting that heavy mask-like look. It goes on pretty smoothly, with a light/medium consistency that you can definitely build. To set my makeup I use the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder. I think they dc'd the 'Medium' shade (which I use) but all other colors can still be found on the US MAC website. To substitute, I either brush on the Blot powder lightly or use just a touch of MAC Studio Fix powder over areas that need more coverage and a matte look. Like miss_supra said, I would avoid this foundation if your pores are large. If you use any type of illuminating formula on your face (and this product certainly is one) it highlights everything. However, I must say that it does a pretty darn good job at hiding certain flaws like acne scars... so it depends. Try to get a sample or have a MAC artist try it out on you first before you buy, and take a look at your makeup in natural light to make a real determination. HTH and good luck!
