Foundation tips/recs? Looking for a natural, dewy look

I really need a new foundation and I'm going to MAC on Friday for 3D... I've never tried MAC foundation but I thought Id get an MA to help me out.

I'm on the dry side so I mostly prefer liquid foundation; I can be prone to breakouts, but I'm on Proactiv and that controls it pretty well. Overall I want that fresh, dewy look...anything I should check out?

Also are there any tutorials on the web for applying foundation/concealor/highlighter to get that flawless look? TIA girls

If you're looking for light coverage, the MAC Select Tint leaves a nice dewy finish on my skin without looking heavy at all.

If you don't need a lot of coverage, try MAC's Face & Body Foundation for a dewy look.

Other products people like for this look are Mineralize Satinfinish and Hyperreal, but if you have breakouts you may want to skip anything with a lot of shimmer, since shimmer draws attention to any irregularities in your skin.

You can always try Strobe Cream under your foundation, too, to add to that luminous look.

And I like a little Silver Dusk or Golden Bronze loose iridescent powder (or Belightful if you can get your hands on it).

I agree about Select Tint. I use it with a little concealer in my trouble spots. I avoid using powder afterwards if you really want a nice glow. I also put moisturizer on right before the Select Tint. That way your skin looks nice and hydrated. I love using a sheertone shimmer blush on top like Sprinsheen. Makes the skin look beautiful!

Try HypeReal... it contains light reflecting particles that give you a dewy look. You can also spray FIX+ on top of it to make it more fresh and dewy.

mineralize satin finish foundation rocks.... it has shimmer particles, but barely noticeable (i didn't know until someone told me).. if you still feel/look dry, use FIX+ after! that's the ultimate in a 'finishing spray' to give your skin real texture and a natural glow. oh yeh, barbie beauty powder in pearl sunshine is ravishing for a healthy irridescent glow (highlighting/ all over powder)!

Thank you for all the advice. I'm going to MAC tonight for some 3ds so I am going to check out a lot of the products suggested.

I'm sensitive to a lot of moisturizers and tend to break out when I over-use them or use a very rich/heavy one, so I have to strike a good balance. Thanks again!
