Foundations!

I went by my Mac counter today and got Twinks, along with some samples of foundation.

The mua gave me Select in NC 42, and Studio Fix Fluid in NC40. At least I think the second one was Studio Fix Fluid :/ the sticker was labeled NC40 FW...... but I don't know what that would stand for, haha.
I'm thinking these may be a bit dark, because I use Studio Fix powder in NC30.

Anyways, out of these two foundations, which do you prefer?
Pros and cons?

It all depends on your skintype and what type of coverage you want.

Studio Fix Fluid is geared toward those with oilier complexions, controls oil and has more medium + coverage, providing a matte finish and is also long-wearing. Think of it as Studio Fix Powder but in liquid form.

Select is their water-based foundation, it is oil-free but doesn't have oil-control properties and although it has a matte finish, it doesn't seem to be long-wearing. It is also a medium coverage foundation.

Although I'm not a MAC foundation fan, I would prefer Studio Fix Fluid, however if you have dry skin or normal skin with drier patches, Studio Fix Fluid might have a tendency to dry those zones even further.

It definitely depends on your skin type & what type of coverage you want. I used Studio Fix compact for the longest time because I only wanted light-medium coverage. However, I have dry skin so I would look "patchy" after a few hours most of the time. Studio Fix Fluid always looked too orange or too light on me (I tried 4 different shades). During the summer, I match it just fine though as long as I use the 187 for light application.

Anyway, if the samples are too dark for you... go back &get samples in a lighter color if you want to test the texture/coverage before buying full size.

i cant help on color because im nc15 BUT

foundation coverage wise, i support SFF 100% and hate select.
