and although I adored it when it went on this morning its now almost disappeared apart from the bits of foundation you can see sitting in my pores - Ive never known any foundation to disappear so quick. Will try it again tomorrow but not impressed now

Thanks for the results. I just ordered some, so we'll see how it works for me. I hope it works better for you today! Did it have much coverage (while it was on)?

do you use any primer or moisturizer? or did you set it with any powder? that can have an impact. plus it is a medium coverage and is buildable... if you wanted more coverage to last?

I currently use Guerlain radiance as a primer which works fab with studio fix fluid. It was set with mineralize powder and I did build it slightly - built it up slightly more around my nose and cheeks.

I tried it on at the store and didn't like it. The coverage wasn't what i'd hoped for, its light to medium, but on me it seemed to accentuate some flaws, like the lines around my eyes. I still prefer the studio fix fluid.

I am an NW25 with normal skin. Today I wore the MSatinfinish for the first time. The colour match was spot on. I used Studio Fix Moisture SPF15, P+P Face and MSatinfinish, with a touch of MSF Natural in Med in the forhead, chin and cheeks, topped off with Fix+ mixed with Vanilla Pigment. I loved it! It gave a great glow to my skin.

I found that it stayed quite well. Personally, I was so disappointed in Studio Fix Fluid being the uber-dry, orange mess that it was, that I didn't have high hopes for a new fluid foundation. Fortunately, I was wrong.

Same here! And the huge disappointment (colourwise) of the Studio Mist - I'm NC30(ish), got Light Medium and still looked orange! The horror... *shudder*

I think I'm suffering from love at first swatch - I've worn the Satinfinish for all of 20 mins and I LOVE it!!

Right now I'm trying out NC30 with half my face having 2 layers, the other half 1 layer and msf natural in medium buffed in. I love the glow of it and the texture of Satinfinish - it's more emollient than SFF but doesn't dry out so fast that I'm flittering my 187 like a madwoman all over my face! (I end up with a mask applying section by section) The colour does run a bit darker than I'd like, but it's not noticeably off. I've also got NC25 to try out.

Tomorrow I'll try a full day of the split face (sounds weird, but y'know what I mean) to see whether it settles into my pores like Madkitty experienced. I've got oily skin but I'm crossing fingers and toes this'll work out on me!

I tried this yesterday at the store too and I was NOT impressed! It was not at all what I had hoped for. Studio Fix Fluid is my HG foundation and I was hoping for similar coverage with dewyness and on me, the coverage of this was not what I had hoped it would be (med) but instead was light and I felt like it accentuated my flaws as well. I am glad I didn't get it as it means money for Barbie, but I REALLY wanted to love this stuff! Reminds me of Hyper Real SPF 15 but I like HR better. HTH anyone out there lemming this. I have normal to combo (slightly oily T zone) skin. HTH

The first time I put it on I hated it, but I've worn it for 3 days now & it's growing on me.

I start with Photofinish, 1 layer of Satinfinish (am an NW 15, but NC 15 is working for me), a layer of NW 15 loose powder or light MSF & then another layer of foundation & powder if I'm feeling like I need extra coverage. I'm not a dewy type of person so I have to use powder & without powder, I feel like it feathers & runs a bit (but that could very well be in my head)

I feel like it sits in my pores more than I would like it to, but I've gotten a bunch of compliments on it so I'm trying to make it work.

Yesterday when I was talking to an MA, I asked about this. She stated to me that she LOVES the new foundation. BUT (here is the kicker for me) ... She told me that in order for it to work properly I needed both the fluid and the powder as they were made to go hand in hand. Now I know most of us use both, but I tend to use only powder on most days. LOL I was also told that this was medium coverage. I'll have to purchase it to see. =D

i like it. it made my skin soft and sliky and lasted all day. the only thing i dont like is i have to apply strobe cream or a beauty powder for that extra "glow". i was so used to my hyper real foundation for a little glow.

I wore the new Satinfinish all day Friday and Saturday and I loved it, but I did use a generous layer of the mineral powder over it. I have large pores and combination skin, and was surprised how glowy my skin looked - very light-reflecting. Normally foundation wears right off my face, but I felt that this one help up pretty well. I am on high-alert for breakouts too, but so far, so god...
