This morning I tried something that the rest of the makeup world probably thought of a long time ago.
I dipped my lipstick directly into mica shimmer powder(a lip-safe MAC Pigment works nicely, but you can find inexpensive mica powders very easily on the internet) before applying. The result was a smooth, uniform shimmer similar to the finish of MAC's sublime Frost lipsticks. This way, not only is the shine distributed more evenly, I don't have to use so much gloss, the generous application of which can make lipstick gooey and prone to come off.
Now if only I can get my lipstick on straight!
