Alas! I'm new!
My name is Vee and I am a make-up addict. I found Specktra entirely by accident (I was looking for reviews of that new Luminess airbrusher and this site popped up), but I liked the forum so much that I decided to join. I love MAC cosmetics and would probably die if they ever stopped making Lipglass. Although MAC is pretty much my favorite brand, I also like mixing-and-matching products from other lines as well and I'm always on the lookout for great new stuff. When I saw all the reviews and tutorials the site had to offer, I knew I was in good company. ;D
A little about me: I'm a 22 year old college student from Kentucky, USA. I live in a really small town that doesn't even sell MAC cosmetics, so I have to buy all my stuff online. I'm half Mexican and half Caucasian, so I have problems finding foundation that matches my light, yellowish-beige skin tone (a problem that's compounded by combination skin and a tendency to get breakouts). Although I've been using cosmetics since I was 14, my makeup routine is really simple, and I'd like to try to learn how to do those "fancy" makeup techniques for myself (like blending eyeshadow to the browbone--when I try to do that, I just end up looking like a panda). I see so many beautiful faces here on Specktra, I figure everyone knows what they're doing, so hopefully this would be a good place for me to learn how to hone my makeup skills.
Anyway, I hope I'll get the chance to make some new like-minded friends here, and be able to both learn and contribute to the community. This looks like a great forum and I look forward to meeting everyone here!
Kisses,
Vee
