Hey sweeties, today I tried out all the things I got from the Catrice 'Beauty Minerals' collection. I must say, I love everything. The eyeshaduw came in a tube with a brushapplicator (ala Bourjois Mon regard..) However the the brushes were the worst I've ever seen. The first time I opened the (sealed) eyeshadow and lifted the brush, there was basicly dust flying everywhere, because the hairs of the applicators were extremely spars, I threw them away, I like to use my own brushes anyway. Here's what I'm talking about:

Needless to say I was kinda scetical about these products after this little loose-powder-drama. But when I used them this morning I was stunned. The colours aren't extremely vibrant or pigmented but they gave me a beautiful look without having to worry about blending because they have a pretty sheen that sort of puls everything together. These are amazing for stunning MU when you've minimal time! Take a look at the pics and please let me know your thoughts! Thanks, xx Mien

I know Catrice e/s and I'm always surprised of the high quality standards and super-duper texture. It's a lovely and soft emu indeed and I'm pretty sure that you'll also find other combination options.

I don't believe I've ever used their regular e/s, these were all mineral and part of a limited line, at least here in Holland. But I'm sure to check out the rest of their MU because it's exceptional cheap but the quality is great and easy to work with!

Thanks, I've been playing with different settings and I finally figured out the best way to use my camera, it's a Fujifilm FinePix S5700 and I love it! It's not the cheapest but also not way expensive. There's a macro function (wich I always use, even on full-face shots) and a super-macro wich allows me to take pics really up close. I love the all the different pre-set setting, there's one for taking pictures of flowers wich also works great for MU shots. But ofcourse it's also possible to create you're own settings on white ballance, flash and ISO etc.
