You'll want to remove your makeup first no matter what cleanser you use. No cleanser is gonna remove all your makeup, so do that first. I suggest buying a pack of cheap, unscented baby wipes. Use a wipe to remove your makeup first, THEN use your cleanser.

I love Purity Made Simple by Philosophy. It works wonders and just in case you forget to take your makeup off first, it gets it off! (I wear very minimal foundation) Hope this helps!!

I agree w/ jenii - it's best to use a makeup remover (I use Lancome Bifacial) before you cleanse. Some makeup contains waxes & oils, which are pretty hard to dissolve w/ water based cleansers.

When I worked for a makeup counter, they would equate washing your face w/out removing your makeup to trying to shower w/ your clothes on.

I don't see the point in removing makeup first with a separate product, unless it's waterproof stuff like mascara or Fluidliners. My cleaners removes everything.

In N. America, I was using Dove's Self-Foaming cleanser, it comes in a pump dispenser. It worked really well on me.

Here in Europe I am using Bebe Young Care foaming cleanser, also works great.

i deffy use cetaphil only when my ezcema comes back. My doctor gives me cetaphil.

It's not true that you can't find a cleanser that doesn't take makeup off. I went to school to become an Esthetician and I thought the exact samr thing but I got introduced to a BEAUTIFUL product called Repechage.. it's a product line sold here in the U.S. but it's made me france by this beautiful lady ( i forgot her name but I've met her and she's really pretty for an older lady and she has FLAWLESS skin) anyway she has i believe 5 different product lines depending on if your face is dry/senstive, oily, has acne, aging/sensitive skin, and if you have combonation skin. All of the cleaners for each product line takes off dirt/makeup off your skin, the toner is amazing (it smells amazing too) it keeps your skin feeling fresh and moisturized and it protects your skin when you are outside. but anyway it's an amazing product line you should check it out. if you need anymore info on it I could help you out.. I have learned a lot about it when I went to beauty school and I have some stocked away in my bathroom cabinet.

by the way; those of you that use Dove (i love DOVE so don't think I'm dissing dove or anything) but it's not good for your skin. I used my PH pencil on it and it has so much acidic products inside of it, it's rediculous. Clinique products are bad for your skin also.

I like Clean Energy by Origins, it is oil based and takes off everything! I also love Dr. Weil for Origins Mega Mushroom Cleanser. It's milky and gentle. A lot of people that have rosacea and other sensitive skin issues use it.

Hands down, Purity Made Simple. I have dry sensitive skin. I can't eve use Clinique. Purity made simple leaves your skin plump but very clean. Great at taking mascara off. I just put on my skin dry, rub in and then wet it down. It's UNBELIEVEABLE!! The makeup just melts off.
