sorry the pics are so large! I got the pictures off of live journal mad rad hair group. so if any of these pictures are of you or people you know. thats why. im gonna go for something short. either aline. or shorta and layer-y. and spunky

right now my hair is just past shoulder length. . one color.. brown. and i always wear it up because its totally boring and my hair is gross. i get too hot with it down, its sorta thick. , so what do you all think?

All the hairstyles are quite the same with some subtle differences which is basically the length of the overall cut and the length of the fringe. But what is the shape of your face? If it's round I would go long like the second picture. If it's rectangular I wouldn't go with these styles because these styles frame the face. But if it's heart shaped or oval these cuts work very well with it. The fringe is up to you. It just depends how you like it when swept to the side.

I wouldn't also go with these styles if your hair is very thick since it may come out looking poofy on top because of the layers. But it's best if you just bring in the pictures and see what your stylist says personally.

You can achieve any of those looks with thick hair. All you have to do is ask your stylist to thin your hair out with layers so your hair can look like any of the above haircuts.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hair on the girl in the 4th and 5th pictures. In fact, that's nearly EXACTLY what I want my sister (my go-to barber/hair wiz) to do to mine tomorrow. I think it's a great style.

Hmmm it's not a very original haircut, I guess. I see so many teenage girls rocking that exact same style in N. America, I usually like to do something a bit different. But hey, do whatever you like!

These cuts are really hard to manage. Because if you don't iron them daily, and you have even slightly wavy hair, they will look horrible. I find them to be overly trendy and it will be really difficult to grow out. If I were you I would get a classic bob. But hey, as MissChevious said, do what you like!

I totally agree, in fact, they already ARE out, it's just the masses of people haven't caugh on yet because it's a trend. I don't know, overly-trendy haircuts associated with a certain scene of people don't last...and like Ette said, this style will be VERY high maintenance and a pain in the butt to grow out if you decide you're sick of it.

That's cute!! I don't think it looks like the other styles at all, though... You might be able to do those above styles, though, with a flat iron, and lots-o-product. :p

yeah its actually quite similar to the above cuts. its all about how you style it. all it takes is some spray wax and hairspray, and i have the spunky look. i can just flat iron it straight like the picture i took above, and have a more laid back type of style
