i can totally relate. I put on pigments and gloss to my already existing makeup to walk my dogs and no one can see me. My husband thinks it's crazy. I tell him it's for him. (I love glamor and it makes me feel pretty.) Then, he will kiss me and say I look beautiful from our night stroll with our fur babies.
