It's all right for me, and sometimes I dont even wipe the excess off. Just a suggestion. Dot the liner (gloopiness and all) on the inner half of your lashline then use another brush to drag it through. This helps to spread it out more evenly

I tried using my own fine point liner brush and it seemed to solve the problem of the gloopyness. It's really too messy for me to use the one in the cap.

Hmm. I haven't had any problems with mine yet *crossing fingers* So far, so good. I wonder if different colors may have different viscosities?

I find them gloopy too. They'd work so much better with a pen tip like the other liquid liners. I use my 263 with it since I can't deal with the brush.

If you wipe away the excess liner on the inside of the rim of the container, you get way less gloop and much more control. I always (even with fluidlines) shape my brush into a fine point with the product so I can get a thin line and build it into a thick line. I really like these things, but my complaint is that I keep getting it into my eyelashes. On the good side, after mascara, I have big full lashes where the liner built them up

If you can get your hands on the tester brushes at the counter, get some...for some odd reason, they work a lot better than the brush that comes with the product....I also used the 266 angle brush and that worked a lot better than the product brush.

I have 4 of the colors - pretty gluey disasters that they are - and a week down the line, decided I just hate the formula and the cheesy little brush. I have several great eyeliner brushes, but honestly don't feel like having to clean them with oil based cleaner, and then shampoo them, every time I use them because of the glue-like formula of the liquidliners.
I am wondering if the fluidlines are better...? I don't own any of those, and the colors look pretty.
Does anyone know if one can return these to the counter you bought them at without the little sales slip? I lost the slip.
Yuck. What a dissapointment.

You can return them without the slip. I know at Nordstroms or Macy's you need to have that little sticker on the box and with that they can return it no problem. I am not sure about a MAC store though but I don't see why you couldn't!

Thanks, CoachKitten! I bought them at Saks -just called, and despite lack of box/slip, they'll take them back. My purchases were in the computer...yaaay!
I am not big on returns, I usually just give things I don't like or which don't like me away. But this time, I think I'll exchange them for some fluidlines!

I only have the black one but I HATE it. I'm taking it back. It was a gloopy, messy, sticky mess. And they seriously took forever to scrub off. Definately a non-no for contact wearers like myself.

I wear Jane liquid liners and they are budge-proof, but not hard to get off w/ mu remover. I didn't get LL liners because they weren't different from any liners out there. If it had been a pen type applicator then I def would've gotten one.

Hmm I havent had any problems at all,. but I use liquid liners a whole lot,.. and the eyeliner mixing medium a lot which is thicker than most regular liquid liners,.. I do however usually use my own brush,.. I find that if I clean it immediately with my MAC brush cleaner after application,.. the liquidlast does come off,.. get it before it has time to set,... And as Shawna was tlaking about,. I have started tipping my lashes with them over my mascara,.. it looks really cool to have fuschia or aqua tipped lashes,.. got this idea from where it did get into my lashes the first time I tried to apply them.

for all you wanting to use your own brushes.

Clinique do a spray brush cleaner, you just spray it on the brush straight after and wipe in tissue.

its really quick and easy.
