What are your thoughts on these 2 products?

As for the Goddess blush, is it really a "must have"? I already have Blushbaby, Pink Swoon, Nars Orgasm, and Blossoming Creamblush. So do you think I really need it? I'm very fair, for refernce, lighter than NC 15. I liked the look of Goddess but it also looks quite strong in the pan...also it's a matte formula and I'm usually not too crazy about an entirely matte face look. Your opinions?

And about the 169 brush. The girl at the MAC counter told me it's real hair, but it turns out she was talking crap as the MAC website lists it as synthetic. Hmmm now I'm not too keen on it anymore. How good is this for blush application? I want something that will give more of a defined look, as I already have the 187 and I sometimes feel like it's better for an all-over wash of colour, but not very precise. Is the 168 a better brush than the 169? I need it for contouring.

Here's a link to a few thoughts on the 169 brush because I had the same questions as you. It might help

The brush was really soft when I tested it, but the MA warned me that it really grabs the colour and deposits it heavily. It sounds like you are as fair as I am, so it might take some practice to get it to work. I ended up buying the 168 and it does exactly what I wanted it for. It contours, but doesn't leave an obvious '80s streak lol. I can't help you with the blush, but I am sure somebody else can

i LOVE this blush. Although I am not as fair-skinned as you are. lol. I feel that it is way different than pink swoon, orgasm, and blushbaby (i have those too). Blossoming, I'm not too sure about though.. Its not very pink.. sort of a coral color. And because of this blush, I love matte finishes! but thats just me. hehe! HTH! oooohhh.. and IMO, this blush looks really good with vital spark l/g. I wore them both I love them

I own Dollymix, Nars Sin and Orgasm and I purchased Goddess. The reason was because I wanted a coral blush to add to my collection and I wanted something without shimmer. And in my case I was going for a matt look. In addition I bought Vegas Volt and Raquel so Goddess naturally completed the coral package.

Fyi I am C/NC30/35 and Goddess is indeed bright. It's beautiful though imo, however I would imagine since you are fair you definitely need an even lighter hand with Goddess than I. I think it's a great purchase, but if you aren't into a completely matt look then Orgasm is a peachy-pink enough blush to give you the same/similiar look. (that was my money saving rationale for you there

) Orgasm doesn't show up on my skin as well so I need to use a heavier hand but doing so just increases the shimmer for me.

As for the brush, my MAC MA applied Goddess and Smile on my cheeks using the 168 and I really liked it. It's definitely excellent for contouring and it didn't deposit too much blush at all. The 168 felt soft but firm at the same time. Sorry, but I didn't get a chance to use the 169 so I don't have a comparison comment for you.

I absolutely love Goddess blush! I'm NC15-20 for reference. My favorite way to wear it is with Orange Twink Pearlizer as a contour, then Goddess on cheeks, then I use Yogamode BP to blend it all together. Really pretty. I prefer the 169 for blush as it does deposit more color, I think. The MA at my MAC counter used the 168 to apply when I was testing it and it was more sheer than when I used the 169, so I think the 168 would make a better contour brush.

Goddess IMO is a def must have. Its pretty bright, but its very flattering on the skin. As the poster's above have suggested... use a light hand and it should work out great. Yogamode bp is awesome to wear on top and all over to tone it down a bit if its a lil too bright.

Thanks for the input. So I guess Goddess is more of a coral blush....hmmm....I have Blossoming which is quite coral on me so I guess I don't absolutely need it.

Still thinking about the brush though.
