I will going to Spain with my Spanish class and I will be gone for 8 days.
I've never been out of the country and I was wondering what to bring and What not to bring for makeup?
I was thinking getting mark or nyx makeup instead of bringing my mac and my nice brushes.

you'll love spain! i lived the for 7 years and i was so sad when i came back to england.
the majority of spanish girls dont wear loads of makeup they just keep it looking natural.
take the essentials like foundation, powder, blush, eyeliner, mascara and a couple of lippys and eye shadows.
if you're worried about ur mac makeup just get some cheaper drugstore stuff. thats what im planning to do when i go on holiday in a couple of weeks. which part of spain are you going to?

if i was u id put my liquids in my suitcase and any makeup that isnt likely to get broken. sometimes security can be fussy about liquids in hand luggage. any powders like blusher or eye shadow id put in ur hand luggage

I travel with NARS Multiples. They do everything, you can carry them on the plane, they don't crush, break, etc. Wet and Wild makes their own version on the multiples. You can use them as shadow, lipstick, highlighter and bronzer. They go from a cream into a powder finish.

If I had to be stuck on a desert island, I'd want Malibu Multiple with me. I carry it everywhere. Its a pinky brown color that looks great on lips and cheeks and lasts forever because its huge. I think its awesome that Wet and Wild can make similar multipurpose tube products for under four bucks that can make you look like a million.....

yeap! i second the multiples. you have less worry of breakage and theyre so versatile - blush, bronzer, highlight, lips, eyes - less things to worry about forgetting in the hotel! pack a palette with a day look and night look eyeshadows. i know its hard to narrow it down! to protect your brushes try to get your hands on a brushroll, and one with pockets is even better. mine holds 5 or 6 brushes and then has different compartments for makeup and stuff.

and what ive learned from all my experiences in travelling..... remember, whereever you go, there ARE people who live there, which means there are stores and stuff so if you forget anything its not that serious... its just another excuse to go shopping!

I LOVE SPAIN!! ive been 3 times and i think im going with my boyfriend this year... usually when i go not many people wear makeup and i hardly see anyone wearing it during the day [its too hott!] i only ever wear makeup on a night when im on holiday because i hate feeling greasy and loaded with makeup...
anyways you should take a few neutral colours like a beige and a brown... a couple of colours that WILL match some of your outfits like if you are wearing a purple top then add a nice purple eyeshadow etc. if you wear smokey eyes then go for a nice light one like a silver smokey eye [you dont wanna look too dramatic] and take 1 highlight colour which will go with most of your eyeshadows.
as for lips.. if you wear lipstick take 2 colours [ 1 neutral and 1 dramatic like a red or bright pink] and take 2 lipgloss's that will go with the lipsticks or whatever. Take one mascara [i bought my Lancome Hypnose mascara at the airport for the caribbean and my eyes looked so nice and it really plumped up my lashes so i didnt wear too much makeup when i went] anyway take an eyeliner or 2 depending... such as a brown and a black or just one. make sure you take a sharpener! incase something happens to it.
now for foundation .. you want something light [why not grab some samples from makeup counters as they are in tiny sachets and wont take up much room] ... concealer if you need it and take 1 blush [a peachy colours blush is always nice for a holiday] and remember to take lip balm with SPF in it

Ohh and i see it will be february when you go.. it wont be TOO hot like it is in the summer but yeh just try to look natural as possible you really dont need to take much at all.

How cold?!
I'm not sure if I should bring my north face fleece jacket or my peacoat (will most likely wear a sweatshirt underneath)
